Sex Trafficking– Any commercial sex act induced by force, fraud or coercion OR when the person is under 18 years old (regardless of evident coercion).

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children- Sexual activity with a child (under 18) in exchange for money, goods, services or anything of value (or the promise of something valuable) where one or more parties benefit from the exchange.

Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking– The commercial exploitation of American children within the borders of the US.

Survival Sex- The exchange of sex acts to meet basic needs, i.e. food, clothing, shelter, drugs, or money. Survival sex is common among homeless youth.
